R-Rated Sci-Fi Coasters
R-Rated Sci-Fi Coasters
Created specially for the sci-fi fiends among us, these coasters all say “Use the fucking coaster”, but using the script specific to different species and tongues of Dungeons & Dragons, the Star Wars franchise, Babylon 5, Stargate, DC Comics worlds, and more!
Most of these scripts are “simply” alternate fonts, allowing for a direct transcription of the text, but a few have somewhat more complicated transformations (such as Lord of the Rings’ Elvish). And in a few cases, a beautiful script had to be abandoned because that alphabet was missing some key characters in the text (i.e.: the Nal-Huttese alphabet of Star Wars lacks a “t” and a “u”)
While I did some initial research in verifying that a suitable machine-carveable font exists, as I am not an expert in all (or honestly, any) of these languages or their nuances, part of the “price” of being among the first to have a set of coasters in your favorite language is your help in confirming the accuracy of my initial translation! Images of the languages are in this PDF.
Pick up a set and you’ll be the envy of all your friends, and you can break these out for those movie or game nights!
Each set of four comes with a handy stand. Note that the Hindi-language image is just indicative picture of what a finished set would look like.
For the more “traditional” human language versions, check out these coasters.
