Single Number Nixie Clock

$375.00

This clock is sure to catch the eye of anyone passing by - beautiful retro technology combined with a simple but elegant hand-crafted wooden base. And with modern quartz crystal precision and digital circuitry.

This Nixie Clock is made of solid purpleheart, maple, and walnut, milled out to house the internal system. Like the sold-out Pan Pacific clock, this one took almost a year from sourcing the initial circuit boards to final completion, with hand-assembled circuitry from Britain, and “new old stock” Nixie tubes sourced from Eastern Europe.

The single number clock displays the time by cycling through the four digits - H-H-M-M - with a longer pause between those digits; you can see it in action in this short video.

It’s further complemented with a multi-color RGB LED to illuminate the tube from below, which can be set to any of several colors, or left to gradually cycle through the entire rainbow. Two of the many additional options allow the time to be displayed in 12/24 mode, fast DST toggle, and to automatically dim the clock at nighttime.

The clock features the larger and more-difficult-to-source IN-18 Nixie tubes, with digits over 1.5” tall; the base includes non-mar rubber feet, and is 4” in diameter. Clock includes base, power supply, tube, and instructions.
